I will be up early on Tuesday morning to get to my polling place which is pretty close to where I live. I was taught from an early age on about my civic duty…I may have skipped a couple of elections (mea culpa), but I am back on track. I can’t complain if I don’t vote.

Jaliana, I’m curious if the lines are long. I’d love a report back.

I waited about an hour here. I got in line a short time after the polls opened which was 6am. Voted around 7:10am or so. The lines were long here in Virginia…a swing state. Will be interesting to see how the Old Dominion voted overall.

Thanks for the update from Virginia.

I usually early-vote, but didn’t this year. Only because of this 2004 article, which the author re-posted on November 5, did I drive an extra 40 minutes (to accommodate my other plans) to cast my own ‘mathematically insignificant’ vote on Election Day, in a state Gov. Romney was definitely going to win.

    Glad you did, Richard.
