My Prez Day Weekend was far more eventful and enjoyable than Valentine’s Day (basically stayed home and was cool with that, to be honest). Friday went down to DC, had a good biz meeting with the GOOD NRA (Nat’l Restaurant Association–they need a new name), Saturday went down to Richmond with one college buddy to visit another and go to the VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University) basketball game. One of the great college hoops atmospheres, loads of fun. Sun: Went to the Washington Monument with 35-50,000 others to protest the Keystone XL Pipeline. It was terrific but also FRIGID–25 degrees and windy. Could only last 2+ hours. Yesterday, came home and saw “NO”, the Chilean entry in the Best Foreign Language Oscar category. MUST SEE. This was a 2nd date from OK Cupid. Not sure it’s a match–she’s great but I’m kind of an atheistic Jew and her Catholicism is very important to her. But that’s for another post. Anyway, Valentine’s Day is so in the rear view mirror…Now it’s St. Patrick’s Day up next!
