Love this because it seems to sum up what most people think about single middle aged women who have cats. I have the hardest time convincing people that my two 17 year old cats, who I did raise from kittenhood, are just my pets and not my life. Do I love these little creatures and have they filled a companionship need for me many times in my life? Of course. But they are just part of my life and I have many other interests and avocations than just doting on my cats. In fact, there are many other things I’d prefer to discuss than two balls of fur who sleep about 20 hours a day.
What about single GUYS who have cats? I grew up with cats, love them. But I haven’t had a cat, mainly because, in a small NYC apt, the litter box could pose a problem. But also there’s the single guy-with-cat thing.

One of the many single myths. Cool tee-shirt, though.

I’ve known single guys with cats. And it’s a plus.
