We are FINALLY in for a streak of cooler, more autumnal days! It was 84° just the other day, quite high for the latter half of October in the Indianapolis area. We have had the warmest September/October that I remember since moving here a dozen years ago. And I am ready for it!
Yesterday was a cool, rainy, fall day–highs in the 50s (finally). I roasted a pumpkin (Long Island Cheese, my favorite pie pumpkin) for the puree (now sitting in my freezer). After roasting, I left the oven door ajar to let the hot air waft through a relatively cool house. Hadn’t done that in a long time!
96°??? Yikes, Wendy! You must be gazing longingly at your boots 🙂
It’s still AC weather here. For now, I’m gazing longingly at a long sleeve t-shirt.
