New Year’s Resolution, 2017

lee-crutchley-me

Welcome back, everyone. I hope your holiday was a good one, and that you’re having a soft reentry into everyday work and life. I’ve never been a fan of the New Year’s resolution, but I really like this sentiment illustrated by Lee Crutchley

Do you have a goal in mind for 2017? For my Career coaching site, I’ve just written about transforming the New Year’s resolution into an achievable goal.  I hope you’ll check it out.

Thanks for posting the What do I want to be when I grow up. I just made it my wallpaper as a reminder.

    Half-century bike ride.

And get back to blogging (>= 2 posts/month starting this summer).

There–clear, manageable, doable, and springing from within me.

Way to go, Petra. Do you have a date for your bike ride?

Also not a fan of New Year’s resolutions, but I’m feeling more inspired this year. I’d like to get confident enough dancing tango to attend a milonga, and also take a trip somewhere out of the country.

Petra- I’d love to check out your blog, if you’re willing to share it!

Jess, I won’t have much time to get to it until May (and I haven’t posted in eons), but you can check out some older posts at flyovertapas dot com.

I do plan to redo the site a bit–I like the focus (culinary geography of the Midwest), but I need to rethink the kind of experience I’d like a reader to have.

What’s a milonga? And where, outside the country, would you like to travel?

        • Jess says:

A milonga is a social tango dance. It’s such a beautiful dance, but it’s challenging, and I’ve just been attending classes for the past few months. Getting antsy to dance “for real”.

So many places I’d love to travel, but Croatia has been at the top of my list.
