October

It was 80 degrees in L.A. today, but it still feels like fall. In the early mornings when heading out the door to walk the dog, I now reach for a hooded sweatshirt and Uggs. Even this diehard summer fan is appreciating the season change. What’s it like in your neck of the woods?

Love the image, Wendy. And love love love autumn! Denver was luminous today…

Wisconsin is mild and wet. I don’t like it. Why do so many of us love the fall season? The chilly sunshine? The layers of cozy?

Hurricane weather here in Boston! I’m with you Wendy – preference is for sunny July days at all times.

Too warm in Indiana, though we FINALLY had some real rain last week (I hadn’t mowed my lawn in 6 weeks). We had a cool summer, but the longest heat wave came at the start of fall (7 days of 90+°), then autumn for 2 days before a return to warmth. Like Lauren, I don’t like it. It’s cramping my cooking! Not simmering any soups when it’s 85° outside!

Quite muggy here in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Hope it cools down soon.

Well its October 11th and it’s STILL hot here in Charlottesville. I am not a huge fan of cooler weather but I can honestly say this year I am sick of the hot weather!!!

    Where are the chilly temps?
