I put myself on a twitter diet a few days ago so my only source of news is the paper on my kindle or npr driving to work. I felt a lot more calm not following returns. Great to wake up to this news! I read that having dems in so many races may have driven more people to vote in VA because there was a competition. I live in a red state and I hope the party takes note of this.
Another highlight, lots of women ran and won last night.
I was afraid to look at the news this morning, but was VERY pleasantly surprised! I’ve avoided most news because it’s so depressing and anxiety-inducing. Maybe I can now start slowly working my way back to it.
I tried to stay away from most pre-election news and predictions, but by 5pm my time, I had to look. And by 5:15 PDT, they announced Northam had won.
