Self Care as the Holidays Approach

What 3 things will you do over the next 6 weeks to nurture your body and soul?

– go to a guilty-pleasure movie in the middle of the week
– soak in my friend’s hot tub beneath the stars
– stay in bed (if my dog lets me) until 8 am

    Get a massage (that’s a monthly thing)

    Bake some bread

Walk around the neighborhood and look at the Christmas lights

Growing up in a very Jewish NYC neighborhood where everyone (including us) had an electric Menorah in the window, we would pile into the car and drive to other neighborhoods in order to see Christmas lights. It was a favorite holiday treat.

I am going to yoga Thanksgiving morning with a friend. I have not been to yoga in ages.

I continue to walk the dog every morning before work and usually meditate too.

I started playing the piano again. Just exercises but it’s a wonderful way to exercise a different part of the brain and work on my struggle with focus.

Well I already did the 80 minute hot stone massage and I swear this time, the “high” I got from it lasted three days. It didn’t even wear off the Monday back at work. It was awesome! I also plan to do more yoga and to chill out and watch more movies.
