Recently finished Middlesex, currently reading The Courage to be Disliked (Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga). The latter, technically in the self-help genre, is a delightful conversation between a young person and an older philosopher. The basis is Adlerian psychology, which I knew little about. Also reading a lot of back issues of Saveur.

I just started What The Eyes Don’t See by Mona Hanna Attisha. She’s the pediatrician that helped expose the Flint water crisis. So far it’s written beautifully. I saw Mona interviewed and had to get her book – such an inspiring journey. I only hope Flint’s water supply can truly be resolved. It’s a devastating condemnation of corruption in our political system.

    Petra, The Courage sounds interesting.
