Box Heaven

Even though I live alone, I like having a family’s worth of home supplies at hand. That’s why I go to Costco every 3 or 4 months to purchase jumbo amounts of toilet paper, laundry detergent, zip lock bags and paper towels. The nearest Costco is a 30-minute drive at best (early on Sunday mornings), so it’s an annoying errand, particularly the loading and unloading of the car, and hauling the supplies up from the garage. And then I discovered Costco online. Now, UPS drops everything right outside my apartment door. My only remaining gripe is tackling the giant empty boxes for the recycling bin.

I am the exact opposite! I think my Marie Kondo devotion keeps me from buying in bulk 🙂

I only buy in bulk for select items. But for some reason, I find it very comforting to have lots of toilet paper in the house.

I’m the same way with these basic staples. I want a big supply. Also that way with bottled water, which I buy from Costco.

On other hand, I only keep a day or two worth of food on hand. I feel extremely lonely when I cook for myself, so I usually get prepared food from an organic market.

I must have plenty of toilet paper on hand! And, unlike Mark, a few foodstuffs–tahini, olive oil, coffee, and tea must be in good supply at home.

And a 2-3 month supply of cat food!
