This evening while walking my dog, I felt a hint of autumn in the air. Granted, in Los Angeles, autumn weather can be in the 70’s. But still, it was noticeable, and for the first time in months, I had a fleeting thought about scarves, sweaters and shoewear other than sandals. What’s it like where you live?

After a 5-day 90+° heat wave (and, frankly, relentless heat since the beginning of May), we are FINALLY seeing more seasonal temperatures. I for one welcome this, but alas, my semester is turning out to be busier and more frustrating than I expected, so I am not sure how much extra cooking I’ll be doing (and I find fall toe be the beginning of The Cooking Season!).
If I know you, you’ll find some time to cook.
Today feels like autumn here in Virginia but it’s raining again.
I don’t know how all this rain will affect our leaves this year but so far they look mostly brown ):
The mums are in the planters though and the funky pumpkin wreath is on the door.
Tula (my dog/best friend) and I are headed to a street festival this Saturday so we are excited, hope the weather is nice!
This week, I had my first whiff of pumpkin spice. Enjoy the festival with Tula.
