Hope in 2018

Whenever I watch Beto O’Rourke, it feels like I’m drinking a cool glass of water in the desert.

Man, this could be a photo of Bobby Kennedy in the ’60s. There’s a passing resemblence, isn’t there?

Beto for Senate now, President later 🙂 I like the way that sounds.

Also I heard voter turnout for these midterms is going to break the record, yay!

He’s so inspiring. Someone I know went to college with Beto, and says that he’s as good as he appears. The real deal.

  3. Sinead says:

Very optimistic image. Maybe that’s what America needs to do … go right back to the start, a pseudo 1960s black and white revolution of sorts. Fingers crossed for O’Rourke.

That man gives me goose bumps when I hear him speak.

Same–also adding Andrew Gillum and Stacey Abrams to the list.

    Here’s hoping (and VOTING.)

Hadn’t seen your comment when I added Gillum and Abrams to my list. They’re amazing. Among the most talented politicians I’ve seen in a long time.

      • karen says:

agreed. Andrew Gillum was my mayor when i was in graduate school at FSU and I am proud to have been able to vote for him in the primary and again in the general election.

Whenever I get down on the state of things, I remember that Stacey Abrams will be president in 8 years and that helps.

        Hope!

An American writing about America … somewhat gloomy but still from the right side of the political divide …
