Bright Spots
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has just become the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. As of this writing, it looks like Dems will win the house. Beto is still a rock star, and we’ll be hearing more from him! It’s time for a cocktail.

As a resident of TX, I turned off the TV last feeling depressed. But woke this morning with hope- this state us bluer than it’s ever been, and I agree (and hope!) that we will see much more from Beto.
Lots of great outcomes to celebrate across the country. Onward and upward…
No matter how they spin it, last night was a real victory.
I saw some comments that Beto’s race may have boosted other candidates in TX. So important to run in all races. I live in a red state but a blue district and had several races with no R candidate – I don’t think it’s good for democracy to have unopposed races. A house district in my state flipped blue though – a particularly nasty Trumper was beat and I’m so happy about that.
Lots to celebrate. Onward!

Last night was such a roller coaster. And today, too. The new reality.
Better get Mike Pence a cocktail too – he’s going to swearing two women into Congress with the Qur’an in January! And yes, Beto will be back as well. Congrats America.
