These days, it’s apple pie! Stuffing, too. And a cocktail while cooking.
I usually host, but this year I’m going to a friend’s house. She’ll be doing the cooking, but I’m bringing said pie, plus a green bean casserole in honor of Dorcas Reilly, the creator of the dish who died earlier this year at 92. I still ordered a turkey so that I can have lots of leftovers (basically feeds me during December, when I have final projects and final grades to deal with). Will cook it on Wednesday.

Sounds like you’ll be doing a lot of cooking! What kind of stuffing do you like to make?
A bread stuffing with sausage, apple, and sage.
What kind of bread? I recently read a stuffing recipe with brioche that sounded good.
Just ordinary supermarket Italian bread, nothing special. Last year I think I cheated and used Pepperidge Farm herbed bread cubes.
I’m sure there’s nothing ordinary about your stuffing.
Sweet and Spicy Cranberry Relish and it makes all the usual Thanksgiving foods which I consider bland taste great!
Do you have a recipe you can share?
Here is what I made last year and I really liked it!

Bon appetit and Happy Thanksgiving!
Always looking for a good cranberry relish recipe. Thanks, Gigi.
