Cooking for One Kitchen Essential

I can’t imagine a cooking life without my trusty storage containers. Through the years, I’ve amassed a formidable collection. As FPS readers know, I frequently make big batches of stews, chilis, stocks, baked goods – then divvy them up, mark the date (very important!) and stow them in the freezer. Let the eating begin.

Preach, sister! My own collection is a motley assortment of plastic Rubbermaid (mainly for stocks), Glasslock, and Ball canning jars. Add to that my trusty Ziploc bags for fruit and partial bread loves (wrapped in plastic wrap and foil, first.)

So nice to look into the freezer and see those containers of stock! Backdrop for more culinary creations.

I’ve evolved so that my plastic containers are all very high end. As I calculate the “cost per wear,” it’s definitely worth it!
