Thanks for the chuckle! I do go to orchards, but I get the already-picked apples! I do love the orchards this time of year, though, because I can get more unusual (read: non-supermarket) varieties. Looking forward to next month with its Stayman-Winesaps!
This cartoon made me laugh. And I’m all for apples and doughnuts.
One of my memories of apple picking was taking my kids to the orchard. My son and daughter loved it, and they loved picking them. However my son who was 5 at the time decided to eat apples the whole way home. When I got home I realized he had consumed probably 2 pounds of apples. He was so sick he even missed school the next day ):
