This is preaching to the choir. But you can read all about dining alone in today’s New York Times –

I love going to restaurants alone. I only really do it when I’m traveling, but it’s one of my favorite things.
I enjoy it too. Lots to take in. But I agree, I do it mostly when I’m traveling.
I love eating alone at home, with a glass of wine, jazz and a relaxing view of the trees in my backyard. Heaven.
In my case, a martini and an urban view. But still heaven.
It’s good to know I’m not alone in my enjoying my meals solo. Does having Tula sit by me still mean I am solo?
That’s the best company.
I love sitting at my kitchen island, having a meal and watching the scene unfold outside. Kids, dog walkers, cars, and the like, sometimes with the rain. Good thinking time.
We could use some of that rain here.
