Interesting. However, my mood goes up–way up–on January 1st. Something about the new year and all of the possibility! That “clean slate” feeling. Of course, New Year’s Day is my big seasonal holiday (I’ll be in bed by 10 PM).

For the past few years, I’ve hosted a New Year’s Day luncheon, the last couple of years for female friends only. It’s casual–3 kinds of soup, 2 types of bread, basic salad, and a couple of desserts (one vegan, one with eggs and dairy). Of course, there will be mimosas as well! It’s a celebration of female friendship and a great way to ring in the new year. This new tradition, I find, is so empowering and fulfilling.

Wendy, I wish you all the best for 2020! May you grow in positive ways and may your year be liberally peppered with unexpected delights and joys. Happy New Year!
