Ready for a Cocktail

I’ve stockpiled vodka, just in time. What a crazy world we’re in right now. How are you doing?

My University cancelled in-person classes yesterday. I’ll have to move everything online until the end of the semester. An inconvenience but hardly worth getting upset about. I already create and post much material on course websites. Offices will remain open for now. We have to do what we have to do. And we need to remember that we are all in this together.

I haven’t done anything with regard to supplies yet. Thankfully no travel plans and I work a decent amount already from home. Like Petra that University here has also gone online until April. Will be interesting to see if that affects traffic, etc. I am going to the symphony Saturday and my boyfriend is concerned for the audience being that “the average age is 79″(!) I plan to not touch anyone and wash hands before/after.

Before the panic set in, I stocked up on essentials without wiping out the local store. Did it over the course of two weeks. I have plenty of food and drink. Public schools are closed for up to a month, universities moving to online courses. As for work, not sure if I will be teleworking or going to minimal manning. Staying calm and taking it day by day.

The food panic makes me crazy. It feels so selfish and unnecessary until everyone does it making it necessary.

    I love this painting!

Well for me I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around the whole thing. I do know that I am probably more worried about the economy than the virus.
However the good side of the economy going to it’s knee’s is Trump will have a hard time getting elected.
And locally here there is -0- toilet paper, that’s how we roll here in the South, ha ha!
