Wendy I’m personally doing fine. Still have a job I can do safely at home. Mostly I miss my friends and family. Most people in my circle are being careful and limiting our interactions. I miss my regular events like the symphony and basketball games and I wonder if my calendar will still be empty over the fall and winter. I made a deposit for a Paris vacation next June and I can only hope its safe to travel in a year! I am beyond frustrated over my governor not doing more to stop the spike we are seeing. Refusal to do more is just dragging this whole thing out I’m afraid. How are you?

California is seeing such a big spike and I felt like we were doing the right thing. It’s hard to make sense of it all.

My state is a disaster. I’m trying to remember that I can only control what I can control, so I’ve changed almost nothing in my personal behavior since March. I still limit shopping to an essential trip for groceries once a week (during which I wear a mask), and I still only see other people outside and from a distance. Once or twice I’ve gotten takeout food from a local restaurant, but that’s it. I’ve had to stop following the local news.
