What I am seeing (personally and in my circle) is the toll and energy of the emotional stuff: like noticing people’s feelings and accounting for them seems to be very imbalanced. Even in “progressive” relationships. I see women have greater and more diverse social support systems and men don’t so they dump on wives/girlfriends. Probably a combo of biology and sociology. I have to consciously make an effort to not instinctively be the counselor, the adviser, the human calendar, the therapist, etc. I just repeat to myself “he’s an adult”.
I blurted out “oh my God!” when I saw this because it’s so so so accurate.
But aren’t things changing?

The human calendar – I love that.
So true that it’s not funny.
I want to believe that this is not always the case, anymore.
