[1]Have you seen the Fellini film, Nights of Cabiria [2]? It’s about a hardworking prostitute on the streets of Rome, determined to improve her lot in life, even though life isn’t cooperating. No matter how many times Cabiria’s efforts gets epically thwarted, she refuses to be defeated. I saw the film decades ago and her resilience still haunts me.
