Last week, my dog sprained her paw while rough-housing with a spirited and much younger black Labrador. She got stepped on and squealed. Watching her limp around nearly broke my heart. The vet recommended rest and anti-inflammatory medication. No long walks, no jumping on the bed or running up and down stairs. I carried her around and, in the process, buffed up my biceps. What we’ll do for love.
