Sundays are often a time that I cook myself a hearty meal. I drive to the market early in the morning, because the experience of tearing down an L.A. street with no traffic is rare and lots of fun. The Whole Foods parking lot is empty and I zip right into a spot. The entire experience is hassle free. Yesterday, I had a hankering for chicken parmesan [1], and I tried a new recipe that was a favorite on the Times food site. It’s exactly my kind of comfort food, well worth the effort. And here’s the best part. The recipe serves 6, and after thoroughly enjoying my meal, I placed the other 5 portions of deliciousness into ziplock bags in the freezer, like gifts waiting to be opened.
