It seems to me that friendship has an outsized role in an unmarried life. Being single for so long, I’ve grown accustomed to relying on a community of people for support. It can be for the small things, like fixing a table lamp (see yesterday’s post [2]), or for the more profound – an embrace to collapse into during hard times. Both add up to a bountiful existence.
