A friend’s therapist posed this question, and it makes perfect sense. With all the brain cells used up recalling the best movies, TV and books of the year, why not invest the time remembering our own shimmering occasions. To get the ball rolling, here are my top 10. (Hint: There’s a dog involved.) Please make this list grow.
1. Eating meringue gelato with chocolate chips on a warm spring night in Rome
2. Getting a sneak peak at the 2011 shoe collection of Martin Margiela, and ordering a pair
3. Watching The Social Network (both times)
4. Hiking in Santa Barbara on a chilly Thanksgiving afternoon with my BFF Miguel
5. Listening to Rabbi Brad Artson describe the “divine lure”

1. Turned 30 in London with my BFF, Larisa.
2. Traveled to a foreign country by myself.
3. Was the Maid of Honor in a good friend’s wedding. Wore shoes that I wanted. Did not bring a date. Did not feel bad one minute.
