I still like Valentine’s Day, even as a single. Cupcakes and candy abound, and we all know free food tastes better and has no calories 🙂

Luckily (a twisted joke from God maybe?) Valentine’s Day is also my birthday… so for the past 30 years it’s just been a day to celebrate myself! 🙂 Highly recommend it to all my single friends, even if it’s not your real birthday!

OMG It’s your birthday??!!! That’s incredible. Hope you’ve been celebrating in whatever way brings you joy.

Hi — just found the blog. I was surprised to be on a roller coaster yesterday, happily buying myself flowers and chocolate and also having a self-pity melt down. How exhausting!

Granted, it may not always be free, but I can enjoy candy and cupcakes any time of the year.

Right now, I’m in the process of baking one of my favorite desserts, chocolate pot de creme, which is like a cross between a creme brulee and a chocolate pudding. So good!
