It’s important when life gets tough to have something fun to look forward to. Last week, I ordered two J. Crew t-shirts, and they just arrived. It was very satisfying. Chocolate chip cookies work, too.
Last week I ordered myself a diamond ring. It wasn’t that expensive and it was a ring I’ve wanted for years so I decided it was time to treat myself. The best part is that right now it only fits on my left ring finger and I don’t care that it looks a bit like a wedding band.
A week at a beach house with friends, starting this weekend! If you can’t have your own family vacations, get yourself invited to someone else’s! If you cook and clean, they’ll invite you again next year
I had my eye on a pricey pair of sunglasses at a local department store. When they marked them down to half price, I snatched them right up and retired the $9.95 shades I had been wearing. I’m usually quite conservative with money, but you’re right, every once in a while it’s nice to have a treat.
Last month was a three-check month for me, so I did a lot more shopping than I normally do. I treated myself to dinner, did a lot of clothes shopping (and took advantage of Memorial Day sales at the thrift store), and got art supplies (the painting class I took really inspired me). I do treat myself from time to time, but this time I truly splurged.
I’m gaining 5 lbs. right now just looking at this picture…

Congratulations. Jewelry is one of the best treats. Enjoy it!

I’ve heard it said that you don’t need to be rich. You just need to have friends who invite you to their vacation homes (especially by the beach).

I LOVE eyeglasses. I’ve got my heart set on a pricey pair right now. I’m glad you got yours, and at such a deal!

I bought new high-thread-count cotton sheets and retired the ones with holes.
Excellent idea. And very practical.
