  1. I’m going to get more sleep so that I can be a more cheerful human being.

  2. Meghan says:

Keep calm. No one else knows what they’re doing either.

(Made in the style of those Keep Calm and Carry On posters.)

  3. Noelle says:

Take my time. I’m always in some big hurry and particularly in New Mexico, there is just no need and it only becomes annoying. Here, “manana” doesn’t mean “tomorrow,” it means “not today.”

  4. Laur says:

Take my time! Often I rush everything-driving, talking, answering questions, getting mad at peers- I need to remember to pause and then continue on. Everything will work out just fine! (I needed this, perfect timing as usual, Wendy)

#6–I’m pressing on with an idea I had. Too often, my ideas start with a big spark, but then burn out quickly. I’m going to be more patient and think in terms of baby steps. As long as there is SOME progress, I’m good.

I know from deep experience that most things that are worth it take longer than we think. Please hang in there, Petra. Baby steps are good.

Wow! Yeah, I get too busy to eat too! I settle for something bad just to stop feeling hungry. I will also feed my libido whenever possible.

    I’m intrigued by number 10!
Is that ‘toast’ as in ‘I raise a glass to’ or ‘toast’ as in ‘eat more hot buttered toast’?
Either way, I’m happy to oblige!

  9. wendy says:

Jo, I assumed it was toast as in raising a glass, of which I’m a big fan. Toasts gather everyone’s focus at the table for a sacred moment together before diving into the food. But buttered toast is just as good. Thanks for pointing that out.

I’m going for #9 — Be maladjusted. I realized (in the midst of another verbal sparring match with a Republican friend) that I was bending over backward to sound reasonable, be reasonable, stay on the outside of the issues and find the common path. He wasn’t. In fact, he was very gleefully unbalanced, and I envied him. So now I’m aiming for “maladjusted” to see if it’s as much fun as it looks.

    Here, here, Tatyanna.
