Last night, hustling my dog through the last walk before bedtime, I was stopped by the sweet scent of jasmine. I blissfully sauntered back and forth a few times, before moving on to the mundane business at hand. Breathing in this first scent of spring made me feel hopeful.
Contest deadline is Thursday.
Exploding hydrangea by Fong Qi Wei
Sunday I played tennis at the fantastic Central Park courts for the first time this season. While warming up I could not stop smiling. First real sign of spring in my world. Loved it.
The seasons aren’t as dramatic here in L.A. But spring is spring, and you gotta love it!
Beautiful art, Wendy! It’s 85 degrees in northern Virginia today. I’m wearing a short skirt and short sleeves. Everything’s in bloom, including me!
Glorious, isn’t it?!
Mary, I’m in No. VA too! Was fortunate to be able to check out the cherry blossoms yesterday evening before the rain today. Ahh….spring time in DC 🙂
Yes, it’s so lovely, Lola, so much lovelier than summer in NOVA.
What a beautiful picture!
It’s still brown and muddy where I live, and we are supposed to receive 8″ of snow on Friday. But you can still feel that spring is on its way – it just keeps getting sidetracked.
I’m looking forward to wearing lighter-weight clothes and footwear!
Spring comes so very late where I live… but I have a windowsill full of seedlings (tomatoes, peppers, and basil) and I saw the tiniest bit of green on the catnip growing outside, so I’m hopeful.
Beauty…in seeming destruction.
Sabine, did you check out the rest of Fong Qi Wei’s exploding flowers. http://fqwimages.com/ They’re really beautiful.
