I absolutely suck (pun intended) at vacuuming. This should not be difficult but, for me, it is. Which makes me want to do it less. But, in the interest of having a presentable place I do vacuum on a monthly basis. Better still, I have a cleaning lady come every other month and she vacuum’s way better than do I.
I hate vacuuming too. But I have to say that springing for a vacuum that actually picks up the pet hair, doesn’t weigh a ton, and has attachments that, you know, attach and stay attached has made me hate it much less.
I use a Hoover Windtunnel T-series Pet Something-Or-Other. It’s a relatively recent purchase, but I’ve been very pleased so far. As an added bonus, it wasn’t that expensive; brands like Dysons were way out of my budget, and this specific Hoover model got great reviews in Consumer Reports. So far, so good…
I had a friend who swore by hers, but I can think of a bunch of things I’d rather spend $400 on than a vacuum! The Hoover — on sale — was less than a third of that.
I must confess – I do both. I sprang for the expensive Dyson to handle the pet hair, and I pay a cleaning lady every other week to keep the fuzz manageable in my home. Some of the best money I spend…
Cheers!
The ad just kills me. I vacuum when I can, but I can promise you, I sure as heck do NOT do it in a dress and high heels!!!!
I hate vacuuming and avoid it at all costs.

I’m all for paying someone else to do it.

Which brand do you use Lauren?

I’ve often wondered if Dysons are as good as their price tag.

I’d rather spend the money on someone vacuuming for me.
