Earlier this month, I went to a dermatologist (first time ever) for a hive-like spot on my cheek. It took a few weeks to get sorted out, and it turned out to be no big deal. But along the way, I must have destroyed a few brain cells, as my mind locked into a worst-case scenario obsessive loop. Don’t worry twice? Yeah, right.

Great to hear that this scare turned out well. Hope you had at least a wee celebratory cocktail to restore those brain cells.
Believe me, Jules, the cocktails were a big help all the way through it!!
I went through something similar in January. After our meeting, one of my clients told me that he’d been exposed to MRSA. Three days later I had the worst-timed zit ever (and I’m in my 40’s!!!), which sent me to the doctor to confirm that it was, in fact, just a zit. All was well, but the stress burned out more than a few brain cells…and afterward I did burn off a few more with a glass (OK, two glasses) of wine.
When it comes to health scares, I find it practically impossible to stay composed.
