Biography of Alice Walker. I admire her strength & ability to honor her desire to explore her writing, her love for readig, and her desire to learn, learn, learn and teach others. She is such an lnspiration, civil rights activist, artist, and free thinker. Fist pump in the air!
I have been reading a lot of Frederick Buechner lately. I recently finished Godric, which I thought was excellent, and am now plowing through a bunch of his other books.
I had to look up Buechner, as I didn’t know who he was. I’m also really interested in theologians. I’m particularly drawn to intellectuals, who have faith. So thanks for piquing my interest.
I just finished a great novel called THE WEIRD SISTERS by Eleanor Brown. Fantastic character-driven story, beautifully written, about three sisters who come together when their mother is stricken with breast cancer. Highly recommend!
I am about to embark on Jean Claude Izzo’s Chourmo, the second book in his Marseilles trilogy. It’s noir crime fiction. I read Chaos, the first book, earlier this summer and was hooked. It was well written, almost poetic, and he deals with some grander themes (like racism).

Alice Walker has so much to teach. I’ll look for it. Thanks.

Okay. Weird Sisters, I’m game.
I’m reading “The Future – Six Drivers of Global Change” by Al Gore. Just a little light reading, lol.
That’s a good one.

I don’t know this writer. I’ll have to check it out.
Just about done with Olympia Snowe’s Fighting for Common Ground. Not sure what I will pick up next!
How’s Snowe’s book?
