You didn’t offer the “sort of” option. I feel bad for the folks who distribute the free papers at the subway, and take one even though I have no intention of reading it. They’re so insistent that people take one I have to believe that they’re paid per paper, and they’re out there no matter how terrible the weather. I just toss it in the recycling bin at work.
The morning paper is such a ritual with that warm cup of coffee. Electronic news is not the same, It’s a good substitute but visually too much on a page and the annoying ads that pop up with the accidental flick of a finger. I like going out in the morning to get the paper, greet my cat, geta feel for the weather and get my crossword going at the end of my read.
