Shoe Lift

Axel Lieber

One of the most luxurious aspects of my apartment is the shoe closet. The occupants before me installed it, and I’m most grateful. In a funk (like today), I can look inside and view my footwear collection, filled with beautiful shapes, textures and colors (even if some of them pinch).

Ah, a shoe closet! How luxurious! My shoe rack (IKEA) helped give my small closet some semblance of podiatric order, but oh, how nice it must be to have an actual closet!

And on a shoe-related note, I did get two pair of boots for the upcoming colder weather season: one black and one dark gray.

My mother used to keep her shoes very well organized and visable in clear boxes. She would be envious of my shoe closet. And I love that I don’t have to share it with anyone.

A shoe closet I love it! That has to just bring a smile to your face.

  3. Closet-envy is a real thing.

PS- Love my Rachel Ray lids!!!

I’m so jealous!! I’m perpetually on the lookout for a decent, well made way to store my shoes. The over the door rack I have now is absolutely terrible…the shelves break, shoes are always falling through, makes everything look SO MESSY!! A friend of mine has a beautiful wooden shoe cupboard that I SO envy. *Sigh*

What’s hard for me now to believe is that I barely noticed the shoe closet when I first looked at the apartment. It wasn’t until unpacking my clothes, that I truly understood its fabulousness.
