I don’t think I want to know this about other people. I don’t think I could derive much value from knowing how they spend their days. I already know a lot of people have problems living with themselves and you can sometimes see this on the surface, other times not. If I asked, some of their answers might either disturb me. I’ve recently found that the way to live inside of yourself is to quiet your mind.

I have another way of looking at this. I like to hear other people’s survival strategies. It makes me feel like I’m not alone in trying to cope, and there’s the chance I could pick up a tip or two. And you’re right, quieting the mind is always a good way to go.

I’m very curious about others and always learn from others’ experiences. I also cultivate a quiet mind and find this complements my curiosity and vice versa.

On the guided meditation app, Calm, the reassuring voice tells me not to judge the times when my mind is chattering away. That’s a relief.
