At the farmer’s market yesterday, I felt the urgency to buy a cantaloupe. Hardly a day goes by when I don’t eat a tomato. Over the weekend, I made myself gazpacho. These are the culinary pleasures of summer that I’m savoring for as long as I can. It’s already September and I’m getting whiplash.

Tomatoes are wonderful for us. I eat them every day … today I split some cherry tomatoes then baked them in the oven for about 20 minutes (with a scattering of coarse salt)until they were slightly shrivelled. The baking makes them so sweet!
That’s one of my favorite ways to eat cherry tomatoes. It’s like the essence of tomatoes.
