It’s another scorcher here today in L.A., and it’s supposed to hover in the nineties all next week. Sweating at my desk now, despite wearing micro-shorts and a tank top, it’s hard to believe it’s fall. Is it cool where you are? I’m more than ready for scarf weather. How about you?

NOW, PLEASE!
It’s too damn hot!
oh no, sorry to hear about your hot weather. it’s finally been perfect where I live, sunny and in the high 60s/low 70s. We had several weeks of high ninety degree weather, some days above 100, in July and August and so I guess we had to wait until September for the perfect weather. The leaves are beginning to change, and so it’s gorgeous. Probably my favorite season, except that it precedes winter (my least favorite).
These days, L.A. feels like the epicenter of global warming. A crisp fall day (with changing autumnal leaves) sounds sublime right now.
I feel like summer was just yesterday, but we’re cooling down considerably here and I’m already thinking of Halloween and Thanksgiving!
Today, I saw my first pumpkins in the market. Yikes!
It is autumn here. Cooler mornings so a light jacket is needed. After Labour Day so proper shoes & socks / stockings with sandals all packed away. I do not get that autumn feel in the air here as I did back in my Canada days & the trees leaves are turning orange not the blood red I am used to seeing …
Right now, I’m closing my ideas and trying to visualize orange and blood red leaves. Vicarious autumn.
