Not One More

Sandra Eterovic

All day, I’ve been feeling queasy with the news of another horrific gun massacre. San Bernardino is in a nearby county, and still it’s a world apart from my West Hollywood neighborhood. But I can’t look away. The vise of violence is tightening its grip. In my political circles, we’re mobilizing in support of common sense gun control. But I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to a sense of hopelessness. What more will it take?

I am feeling the same way. I have been watching and listening to a lot of news since the Paris attacks and I have decided that I need a break and I need to monitor my news consumption. It’s so heart breaking and I hope that some real change happens soon.

    Peace & blessings.

Same here. I also got roped into a conversation yesterday with my ex-boyfriend about gun-control issues in light of CA shooting. He’s in the military and owns his own weapon himself and was adamant that guns are not the problem. Unfortunately, the conversation went so downhill so quickly, it made me even more disheartened. I’ve had to take a break from the news myself. I’m thinking a nice quiet walk in this fall weather we’re enjoying on the east coast in in order.

Wendy, good for you for mobilizing and taking action.
