Good point, Kathleen. I love being in a relationship (with the right person–not just for the sake of being in one), but marriage? The idea does not appeal to me, certainly not at this point in time. While I don’t discount that for the future, right now I don’t get the appeal.
I think in general having a relationship is less intimidating than marriage. Its like buying a house doing it implies some permanency so it better be dependable. Also, if you are still in the process of learning about yourself and wanting to meet new people aiming for a relationship is a better way to go.
ooooohhhh…interesting results!
Really interesting!
Only because I like almonds and I like rice pudding. Marriage just wouldn’t suit me.
Ha!
I wonder what the poll would look like if ‘marriage’ was changed to ‘in a relationship.’

I get marriage’s appeal. But it would really, really, really have to be wtih the right person.
Good question. What do you think?
Great point, Kathleen! I voted “no” because it uses the word “marry.” I would have possibly voted yes had it used less committed wording! 😉
What less-committed wording would’ve worked turned your no into a yes.
How about “shall find a great love within the year”? That sounds more exciting to me!
I do like how the image doesn’t assume that singles are unhappy and all dying for the almond! At least that’s how I read it.
