For the first time in my life I am embarrassed by American politics. And I lived through GWB! This is a new low! I didn’t realize there are so many bottom feeders in our society. Smh
If Bush Jr. didn’t embarrass you, then you must be a bloomin’ optimist. And actually, I understand it got about this low in ’68 with George Wallace. Although Wallace didn’t have the benefit of 24-hour cable news and social media. (And doesn’t that show what a double-edged sword technology is?) He only had plain old human stupidity and meanness to rely on.
The Republicans are reaping what they’ve sown. The only consolation is that they’re also gagging on it.
This campaign makes GWB seem like a choir boy.
I keep wondering, how low could this go?
I’ve developed a philosophy about questions like that: Don’t ask…you might get an answer.
I’m not sure I understand what you mean.
If you ask, “How low can this go,” the universe might show you. You’ve heard, “Be careful what you wish for,” or, “Don’t ever say, ‘It can’t get worse'”? Same principle.
