    What does this mean actually? I read it as ‘I look out for myself’ implying there’s maybe no one else looking out for you. But in looking up the phrase it seems to mean getting back at someone, getting revenge, something like that. I guess the two meanings are not unrelated, but I prefer to think of as a statement of self-reliance.
    Wendy (and everybody else), how do you interpret it?

      This quote means you do everything you can to support yourself. You do not depend on others alone to look out for you. So yes I agree with your interpretation of ‘I look out for myself.’

      I took this to mean that she takes care of herself. And I can really relate.
