I was at the Farmer’s Market a few weeks ago, and the tomatoes weren’t quite there yet – even here in Southern CA.
Oh me too!! Warm from the sun, on sliced white bread (none of the fancy multi-grain will do for this purpose), with a smear of mayo and generous amount of salt and pepper. I know what I’m going to be having for lunch this Sat after the farmer’s market!
Let me know if you find great tomatoes this weekend. I’m still on the hunt.
Nothing like a BLT made with fresh tomatoes. It’s been way too cold here in PA to gave good tomatoes – unless imported from elsewhere. Darn it, now I’m hungry for a BLT and it’s before 9AM here.
I love BLT’s!!!
