Maps. I love tools. Even though I’ve sworn off owning another home for a long time I like being able to fix small things quickly without having to deal with the landlord.
I have trouble with gps – I need to see the big picture. I often pull out a map in the car. I can figure out where to turn faster that way than it takes me to open google maps and type in the address on my phone.
I find a screwdriver with interchangeable bits very handy. My power drill is a favorite. Tape measure is a must. I have two small tool bags plus a plastic organizer box with miscellaneous bits of fasteners and hardware. Plus my drill. Doesn’t take up much real estate and I’ve not been short a tool in a long time.
Living in L.A, I’m so addicted to Google maps. It’s hard for me to imagine getting around without it. But then again, I’m all thumbs with maps. Also, screwdrivers.
Definitely mechanical pencils!
I haven’t seen one of those in a long time. When do you use it?

I guess it’s the way my brain works (or doesn’t), but I have so much trouble reading maps. What are your go-to tools?
