Benefits of Unconditional Love

For years, I’ve been railing against studies that indicate married people live longer than single people. Finally, here’s one study I can fully endorse –

Deep Cleansing Breath

On Sunday afternoon, I fired up the BBQ to begin making one of my favorite staples – Baba Ghanoush. Before grilling the eggplant, the first step is to pierce the skin in a few spots to vent. But in a post-holiday haze, I forgot to do this and the eggplant exploded all over the grill. It was such a mess. Let me say without shame that I don’t take pleasure in deep cleaning, but in this case, I had no choice. About 10 minutes in, I realized just how dirty my 6-year old grill had become, and wondered, how far should I take this? How clean does an outdoor BBQ need to be? I know what my mother would say. What do you think?

Self Care as the Holidays Approach

What 3 things will you do over the next 6 weeks to nurture your body and soul?

– go to a guilty-pleasure movie in the middle of the week
– soak in my friend’s hot tub beneath the stars
– stay in bed (if my dog lets me) until 8 am

Power Tools

I’m currently working with a Coaching client who is a young woman thinking about running for office. She’s so inspiring. As we’re bombarded with the daily news of sexual harassment and assault, lasting change will only come as more women assume positions of real power.
