The Christmas decor is taken away happily on 12/31 or 1/1 however I leave the outdoor lights up for a bit longer. The little lights make the dark night seem happier.
In L.A., the city picks up the discarded trees for free, and for a couple of days after 1/1 until pickup, they’re all strewn curbside. It’s a sight to behold.
