I’m trying to think what food I’d be happy to wed and spend eternity with. It just might be cheese. How about you?
Cartoon by Lars Kenseth for The New Yorker
Ripe tomatoes from my garden. This is my fantasy garden as my current yard is too shady.
I also love tomatoes. Even in L.A., it’s hard to find really good tomatoes before June or July.
I guess I’m going to have to embrace polyamory and go for the entire dairy pantheon! Cheese, of course, but also ice cream, yogurt, creme brulee, custards, etc.
I eat yogurt just about every day. Do you have Strauss’ dairy products where you are? https://www.strausfamilycreamery.com/
Sadly, no.
Their vanilla yogurt is soooo good.
Fresh warm chocolate croissants! I’d love to eat four of them for breakfast each day – but I never do. Yay for self control!
I haven’t had a chocolate croissant in a long time, and you’re making my mouth water.
Ha! Petra, I was going to say the same thing about the dairy trifecta/polyamory xoxo
With that being said, I may have to choose between all the cheese and all the chocolates.
Oooh this post has my mouth watering.
Here’s to polyamory!
Ooh, the choices! I may have to go with bread. A crisp sourdough, maybe with olives. I could be faithful.
I, too, could be faithful to a good sourdough.
