I love these tributes. Their breadth is remarkable reflecting Toni’s amazing complexity. I’ll never forgetting hearing her speak and read her work. The auditorium was transfixed, barely a breath taken or limb moved until the end. Then thunderous applause and immediate standing ovation. She was fierce and magnificent. I remember thinking – this is a true Queen.
How wonderful that you heard her speak. What a privilege!!
