Care Taking
Rose, my beloved canine companion of 15+ years is receiving medical treatment for an infection. She’s spending a couple of nights at the animal hospital, and is already responding well to the antibiotics. The vet told me that Rose is not yet enticed by food, so at the vet’s request, I brought over a batch of home-made chicken, turkey and her favorite treats. And practicing my own self-care, I picked up take-out Chinese food (my first take out since Covid) and chocolate Haagen Dazs ice cream bars.
