Stepping Out

John Breed ShoesTwice over the next two weeks, I’ll be flying back and forth to D.C., for a meeting with Senator Feinstein, and other forays to Capitol Hill. I’m already thinking about what power shoes to pack.

    What are you lobbying on?

Beautiful time of year in DC. Long ago and far away, I lived on the Hill and was an assistant press secretary for a Senator. (Roth, as in Roth IRAs.) I lobbied for a while too. Now I prepare other people to do it. It’s fun, isn’t it?

I will be in DC on 6/19 and 6/20. Should you find yourself there again, or ever in Philadelphia, I would love to meet you.

I’m working on Immigration reform, and it’s a time of great hope. Beth, our dates won’t coincide in D.C. but I’ll keep you posted on future trips.

    Excellent!

PS- I like how easy it is to leave comments here. Some blogs make it so difficult that I don’t bother.

Why not “go native” and pack practical flats?

Plus, then you can ride CaBi around when you’re done. The weather has held up beautifully this year and it’s still extremely comfortable and not very humid except when it’s raining. Perfect biking weather, and there’s no better way to see the city!

I am a firm believer in red shoes.
My favorites are a red patent pump with an open toe. And they are remarkably comfy. Target’s best!
